An Atlantic low-pressure system is expected to bring increasing showers, thunderstorms and gusty winds across Florida, with Jacksonville facing higher rip-current risk and above-normal tides. Stronger storms could produce lightning, hail and wind gusts of 30–40 mph.

A weak backdoor cold front is forecast to bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to Northeast Florida through September 23, with locally heavy rain possible. Jacksonville could see gusty winds, lightning and rainfall totals approaching 2 inches in the most affected areas.

After low-to-mid-90s heat early in the week, a cold front was expected to bring drier air and lower humidity to North Florida. Coastal Jacksonville could still experience stronger winds, elevated rip-current risk and limited showers as the front passes.
